About Us

This project is being headed up by the Beatrice rotary project foundation. This foundation was incorporated just for this project. The Beatrice rotary project foundation is part of the local Beatrice Rotary Club.  This club has been in existence since 1919.  Its goal is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and in particular to encourage and foster four things.  First, the development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service.  Second, high ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying Rotarian of his or her occupation as an opportunity to serve.  Third, the application of the ideal of service by every Rotarian in his or her personal, business and community life.  Fourth, the advancement of international understanding, good will and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional men and women united in the ideal of service.

Rotary international turned 100 years old in 2005.  In celebration of its centennial year each local Rotary club is doing a community service project.  The Beatrice Club is undertaking this Veterans Memorial Park project to honor veterans and to celebrate Rotary international serving communities for 100 years.

Rotary believes in "The Four Way Test" for its service projects.

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and Better Friendships?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The Beatrice rotary project foundation believes that this memorial projects falls under the guidelines of "the four way test"
